Kathy currently serves as the principal of Community Unit School District 200’s Lowell Elementary School in the western suburbs of Chicago. Prior to that, she served as an elementary principal, junior high school assistant principal and an elementary school assistant principal in another Illinois district. In the classroom, Kathy taught 6th grade language arts and social studies. She earned a doctorate in Educational Administration at Northern Illinois University with a research focus in principal self-efficacy and technology behaviors. Kathy is a co-founder of #iledchat and an adjunct instructor in graduate educational technology and principal preparation programs. She is passionate about bringing together pedagogy and technology to further student learning, and she is committed to making decisions based on what is best for children.
